Hiking and cycling in Egadi Islands, pearls of dolomite into the blue sea
8 days
About this Tour
The largest marine protected area in the Mediterranean Sea is located right around the Aegadian Islands. In just one trip we will discover the history, the generous and surprising nature with extraordinary landscapes, the pristine beaches where it seems the rare monk seal, an animal symbol of the Mediterranean fauna, still peeps out. The sea is the undisputed protagonist of the Egadi, but their soul can be perceived by walking and cycling along them, along centuries-old paths marked by the footsteps of shepherds and farmers.
Highlights
  • Hike to the top of Pizzo Falcone in Marettimo Island, a trekkers' paradise, and then return to the village for a well-deserved dip in the sea and a delicious ice cream.
  • Boat tour to discover the beautiful coastal caves where sometimes the monk seal pass by.
  • Cycling in Favignana island between beautiful beaches, rural areas, castles and the most important industrial archaeology site of the island: the Tonnara.
  • Discover the beautiful cities of Erice, Trapani and Marsala and taste the local wine and other products.
